Two sides of bleak catharsis on this transatlantic split from Petrine Cross and Tower of Filargyria.

Tower of Filargyria, referencing the medieval term meaning love of money or silver, rail against their monumental namesake, produce three tracks of sample laden anti-capitalist black metal. Howled vocals and buzzing guitars lament the conditions and constraints we are forced to live under and the scale of struggle against them.

Petrine Cross conjures another melancholic pummeling. Recorded during periods of rainfall, the tracks are simultaneously expansive and dense, as if all the space has been filled with swirling currents of static. A representation of a storm of internal turmoil whilst staring out at a grey rain-soaked day.

Together both artists are operating under a loose tarot theme for this release, with Tower of Filargyria taking on the collapsing Tower of late-stage capitalism and Petrine Cross working under the resignation of The Hanged Man.
